Upcoming Events at MES
Middlesboro Elementary School invites all parents and guardians to Midterm Night open house on Thursday, Sept. 10 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Parents can meet with their children's teachers and discuss progress over the five weeks since school began.
On Monday, Sept. 14, MES is hosting Grandparents' Night. It will be an open house from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be provided and a 4X6" photo of the grandparent and child will be provided free. If more copies of the photo are desired, they can be obtained at a modest charge.
Then on Thursday, Sept. 17, Sheila Smith, Programs Director for the Middlesboro Independent Schools, will be conducting Parent Volunteer Training at 5 p.m. She will guide interested parents through the application process, including a background check. The training will stress the need for volunteers to model the types of behavior desired among the students.
