Sixth Grade Entrepreneurs Compete

KVEC winners

MMS sixth grade students, under the direction of teachers Nicole Mike and Brandy King, recently competed in the KVEC Entrepreneurial Fair. Students had to create and present a business plan and prototype for either a good or service. Students were judged at the school level by Ryan Sanders Edwards and Sherrill King, with winners advancing to the regional competition at the Knott County Sportsplex where they were judged by business students from Morehead State University. MMS is proud to announce a first place winner, third place winner, and honorable mention in each category. These students will travel to Frankfort in February to display their goods and services in the capital. They will also be eligible to attend the Entrepreneurial Fire Summit in Lexington in April.
