The Middlesboro Independent School District in collaboration with the Bell Whitley Head Start is a blended Preschool Program serving approximately 100 children with no more than 20 students per classroom. Our preschool classrooms are located in the Middlesboro Elementary building (formally known as West End). The preschool teachers and their assistants are employed by the Bell Whitley Head Start Program. In addition, Middlesboro Independent offers certified/licensed staff in special education, related services, and other individual needs. Our preschool students are instructed using Creative Curriculum, a comprehensive, research-based curriculum that features exploration and discovery as a way of learning.
