Middlesboro Elementary School

Middlesboro students first embark on their academic journey at an excellent school that promotes high academic achievement, leadership, and Yellow Jacket pride.

Mr. Randall D. Rose, the faculty and staff at Middlesboro Elementary believe that every student should have a positive educational experience that is tailored to meet their own developmental needs. With a tireless work ethic, they continuously strive to educate the whole child as they help build character and set goals to achieve students’ full potential. Their vision is to “Imagine, Believe, Achieve”.

Through programs such as PBIS, students at Middlesboro Elementary School learn what it takes to be well-rounded leaders in their school and community. The children learn and embrace the Jacket Pledge and the school behavioral expectations (Be Responsible, Be Engaged and Be Respectful) as they become more responsible, show initiative, set and meet goals, get along with others, resolve conflicts, and solve problems.

MES is an advocate of early learning and emphasizes the importance of building a strong foundation for learning immediately following birth.  Programs such as the United Way Born Learning program encourages parents to realize the relevance of helping their children learn and grow from the day they are born and throughout their childhood.  MES also participates in Ready for Kindergarten, an early learning program to prepare children for the milestone of starting school.  MES also partnerships with Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) and DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (DCOM) in providing students with enhanced learning opportunities.
